Pope Benedict XVI
The Pope Benedict XVI recently made a statement that caused more violence to erupt in the middle east. He quoted a Byzantine emperor from the medieval times who stated that some of the "prophet" Muhammad's teachings were "evil and inhuman"*
I am not racist and I am not a bigot, but what actions have been done that have disproved that statement? I mean, are the Muslims trying to say that bombing five churches in response to the Pope's remarks is not evil and not inhuman? Do they think saying 'convert to Islam or die' is not evil or inhuman? I think if they thought the Pope was wrong they would have a peaceful protest.
Also, where are the democrats who state that it is wrong to be in a war in Iraq? Why are they not speaking out against the muslim reactions to the Pope's speech?
