State Fair

I went to the SC Upstate State Fair (or whatever you call it), and I'm afraid I wasn't that impressed.

I feel it was overpriced (food, cost for entry, and cost for rides). There were very few exhibits (no tractor-, horse-, oxen-pulls; no horse races; no 4-H animal competitions; very few animal exhibits period; and very few rides).

Also, their french fries were not homemade. They were the frozen, crinkle-cut stuff. They didn't even have any vinigar for the french fries! However, there were fried twinkies, fried candy-bars, and fried pickles.

One cool thing, though. When I parked, I parked next to a vehicle with the beautiful NH plates. They were getting out, and I found out they owned property in beautiful New Durham. They recently moved down here because the dumb zoning board wouldn't let them use their property for what they wanted to use it for.

Must get back to work...
